Clean and Sterilise Dental Clinic and Equipments

Dental instruments that are laid out for use during the day must be cleaned and sterilized at the end of the day, whether or not they were actually used. Just by sitting out in a dental office, they can collect bacteria and other contaminants that could be spread to a patient if they are used without proper cleaning and treatment. They must be properly cleaned, sterilized and stored in order to prepare them for future use. Here's the tips in making the most of effective cleaning methods using Duplex steam on dental instruments, dental theater walls and areas:

1. First foremost, wet the dental instruments, theater walls and dental chairs manually to disinfect the surfaces thoroughly beforehand. Jetsteam Maxi can be used to disinfect the dental instruments with steam mini mop or nylon brush attached to lance. Dental chair and patient bed can be cleaned with Jetsteam Maxi. The infection control service manager usually recommends the manual cleaning of the surfaces and areas to be wet in lukewarm water, scrubbed with Duplex Steam for floor cleaning or Thermoglide for wall cleaning. The process should be done according to Duplex machines' instructions.
2. Afterwards cleaning through either manual or mechanical means, the dental instruments should be dried with a disposable cloth or microfibre cloth for picking up the remaining bacteria and dust.
3. Sterilise the instruments using a Jetsteam Maxi or Jetvac Junior that produces highest temperature in powered steam that is enough to kill bacteria whilst deodorising and contaminating superbugs.
