5 Reasons to use Microfibre Mop Heads

What are microfiber mops? These mops consist of a lightweight handle with a very maneuverable flat rectangular head. A microfiber pad attaches to the mop head with velcro. In a typical application, fresh microfiber pads are placed to soak in a basin of cleaning solution on the cleaning cart. The worker uses 1-2 pads to clean a patient room. After use, the worker easily removes the soiled pad by placing a foot on the pad edge and lifting the mop handle away. The soiled pad is set aside for laundering.

Here are 5 top reasons on why we should use microfiber mop heads compared to traditional mopping cleaning tool:

  • Ease of Use: microfiber mopping completely eliminates rinsing and wringing a heavy loop mop or high volume big mop. The small volume of cleaning solution within the water soaked in the microfiber mop is very lighter so there is no need to return to the sink to dispose of and replenish buckets of water and chemical solution.
  • Less Injury Potentials: microfiber mop head uses less water and disinfectant so it results in much less weight to lift to avoid the injuries such as back pain, neck strain, fatigue that commonly occurs with the use of heavy traditional mop.
  • Prevents Pollution and Reduces Chemical Hazards: microfiber mops reduces the amount of water and chemicals used, hence there is no need to use the solution frequently as it considerably reduces the amount of disinfectant used and disposed down in the drain, compared to the loop mops that requires frequent rinses.
  • Microfiber Mop Takes Less Time: as the microfiber mop takes much lower and lighter volumes of cleaning solution, it dramatically reduces the time for repetitive transporting, emptying and replenishing the buckets of cleaning solutions when using a loop mop.
  • Reduces the Laundering Resources: the microfiber mops can be laundered and cleaned in the standard washing machines, whilst the loop mop requires manual rinses in repetitive cycles or usually sent out for commercial laundering at higher cost. Furthermore microfiber requires less space in the washers and dryers thus saves on water, detergent and energy
In addition, the microfiber mops can also be used in conjunction with Thermoglide to provide lighter, faster and convenient mopping system that cleans quicker twice than the standard traditional mopping.
