How to Clean Ice Cream Maker and Processing Equipments with Duplex

Ice cream cleaning and processing facilities are usually the perfect place for the bacteria to reside and grow. For that reason, it is imperative to clean the ice-cream maker equipment to extend the life of machine in order to prevent the bacteria to infiltrate the nooks and crannies within the equipment. There are only 4 steps in cleaning the ice cream making machine as following:

  • Take apart your Machine
Firstly disassemble the ice cream maker equipment or machinery as much as possible.Detach handles and other parts that come in with hands on a regular hands. Open the freezer compartment of the machine to drain any used ice cream mix and scrape out any remaining ice cream that may not be easily seen around the blades.

  • Flush through with hot water injection steam produced by Jetvac Maxi or Jetvac Junior on steam hose.
Make sure all pathways in your ice cream maker are clear for water to flow through. Use steam hose connected to Jetvac Maxi or Jetvac Junior to power up and inject a high pressurised steam onto the inside of the machine. Once this is done, thoroughly rinse the inner compartments with plain hot water.

  • Soak and scrub machine parts with microfibre cloth or glove
Clean the ice cream maker parts in hot soapy water after steaming with Jetvac steam cleaner. and let them wet with hot water for at least half a hour then scrub them again with microfibre cloth and brush tools. After scrubbing, drain the remaining water from the machine and wipe any excess off using microfibres. RInse all parts in clean water and set them to dry with dry vacuum cleaning machine.

  • Reassemble
Wipe down the inside of your ice cream machine with a clean towel to be sure it is completely dry. Put all pieces back together in chronological order, referring to your user manual as needed. Wear gloves or make sure your hands are clean during this final step.
